East Bay Citizens for Peace is a grassroots organization that was formed in February 2003 by a group of Rhode Islanders from Bristol, Warren, Barrington and East Providence, concerned with the imminent war in Iraq and the Constitutional freedoms threatened under the Patriot Act. We are committed to a mission of peaceful solutions to conflict and to social and economic justice through promotion of open, respectful dialogue. The group holds monthly vigils every second Saturday of the month from 11 - noon, Hope St. across from the Bristol Post Office and holds public forums that help provide an open forum on issues relating to our mission. We can be contacted by email at steeringcommittee@eastbaycitizens4peace.org or at 247-9738.
